Director of the Falls Church Concert Band

NOTE: Robert Little is on an extended sabbatical as of Summer 2024. Assistant Director / Librarian Davyd Breeskin will assist in his absence.

Directing the Falls Church Concert Band since 2012, Robert Little is as an active musician with experience performing with the Levine Woodwind Quintet, Mpingo, Capital City Symphony, Fairfax Wind Symphony, Virginia Grand Military Band, Gennusa Clarinet Camerata Clarinet choir and the Castleton Winds. He has performed with the United States Air Force Concert Band for 26 years.

Robert maintains a private studio in Virginia where he has been recognized by the Governor’s School for Visual and Performing Arts for mentoring, advising and inspiring the youth of the Commonwealth of Virginia. His students have been prize winners in competitions and perform in the American Youth Symphony, McLean Youth Orchestra, solo festivals, District and All-State Bands. Some have continued studying at major music schools and have gone on to teach and perform.

Robert earned his D.M.A. in Clarinet Performance from the Catholic University of America, M.M. in Clarinet Performance and Teaching Fellowship from the University of Houston and a B.M.E. from Sam Houston State University.
